TO: Mr. Victor Salazar, Commissioner of Revenue, Santa Fe, New Mexico
{*49} In your letter dated May 20, 1947 you inquire concerning the date Chapter 111, Laws of 1947, becomes effective.
Since this act was not passed with the emergency clause, it takes effect ninety days after the adjournment {*50} of the Legislature, in accordance with Article 4, Section 23 of the state constitution. The ninetieth day after adjournment will fall on June 13, 1947 which will be the effective date of this act.
