Are "snow mobiles" which are motor driven vehicles supported and steered by skis on the front, which are occasionally used to cross highways, required to be titled and registered under the laws of this state?

No.

OPINION

Section 64-3-2, (b) N.M.S.A., 1953 Compilation specifically covers this question. Under that section, vehicles which are used to cross highways from one property to another are excepted from registration and certificate of title provisions. The specific exception provides:

(b) Any such vehicle which is driven or moved upon a highway only for the purpose of crossing such highway from one [1] property to another;
