TO: Mr. H. D. Hill, Assistant Secretary, State Tax Commission, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
{*132} We have your letter of July 22nd enclosing certain correspondence relative to a bond issue by the City of Artesia.
You ask our opinion as to "whether or not a municipality can propose and issue bonds for the building of a municipal hospital." I think that a municipality can issue bonds for such purpose and I call your attention to sub-sections 5, 6, 47, 56 and 67, Section 90-402, 1929 Compilation, Section 3 of Chapter 6, Laws of 1934, and Chapter 6, Laws of 1935.
I am herewith returning the correspondence enclosed with your letter.
