TO: Hon. Geo. M. Biel Superintendent of Insurance Santa Fe, New Mexico

{*208} This is to acknowledge receipt of your inquiry requesting an opinion as to whether or not insurance agents and salesmen selling insurance only on army posts and military reservations are required to secure a license pursuant to Section 1, Chapter 35, Laws of 1934.

If such agents do not sell elsewhere than on army posts and military reservations, it is our opinion that no such license is required, as army posts and military reservations are under the direct control of Congress and the Laws of the State of New Mexico have no application thereto.
