Opinion No. 42-4200

December 11, 1942

BY: EDWARD P. CHASE, Attorney General

TO: Mr. W. C. Kruger, Secretary New Mexico Board of Examiners for Architects P. O. Box 308 Santa Fe, New Mexico

{*289} We have your letter of December 7, 1942, wherein you have requested this office to advise as to whether or not the New Mexico Board of Examiners for Architects may waive payment of registration fees of those registered architects who are serving in the Armed forces.

It is my opinion that you may {*290} grant such registration without payment of their registration fee. This opinion is in accord with our similar ruling in connection with the Board of Pharmacy, Opinion No. 3857, and the Board of Veterinary Examiners, Opinion No. 4012. The same reasons as expressed in such opinions are equally applicable to this instance.
